Assington Fruits has a growing reputation throughout Suffolk for the quality and freshness of our fruit. The farm is situated in the middle of Assington, a small Suffolk village, with nothing hidden behind closed doors. Visitors are welcome to view the plants, the packing house and meet the staff.
With a firm emphasis on quality, flavour and freshness rather than volume farming techniques, we prefer to supply our produce to local retailers, wholesalers, hotels, pubs and restaurants so that it travels from the “plant to the plate” at the fastest possible speed.
We took over the 17-acre farm in 2007, since when we have planted in excess of 500 trees. We take great pride in our work, and endeavour to farm responsibly, investing time, effort and money in making the farm as environmentally friendly as possible. We believe this, combined with the quality of our fruit, sets us apart from other growers.
Responsible and ethical farming is more important to us than maximising profits, and we are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to save energy and reduce the carbon footprint of our fruit.
